A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from tonight through Tuesday Afternoon for all islands in Maui County as well as Oʻahu and Hawaiʻi Island.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a cold front will move over the islands from the NW this afternoon and tonight, then stay over the central part of the island chain Monday through Tuesday.

According to the NWS forecast, “A low aloft will develop over the islands on Monday and Monday night, acting to invigorate moisture associated with the front. Strong north and northeast winds will push this abundant moisture ashore, with windward areas the most likely to be impacted by flooding rain.”
