Acting State Epidemiologist Dr. Sarah Kemble and Hawaiʻi Lt. Gov. Josh Green will answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine for senior citizens during a live telephone forum sponsored by AARP Hawai`i on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 9 am.

“Kupuna who join the Telephone Town Hall will get a chance to ask about the process to get vaccinated and what they should know about the vaccine,” said Keali`i Lopez, state director of AARP Hawai`i. “The state and federal government vaccination plans are constantly evolving so we set up Saturday’s forum so that even kupuna who do not have Internet access can get the information they need to make an informed decision about getting vaccinated.”

To participate in the free Telephone Town Hall, kupuna can go to vekeo.com/aarpHawaii to sign up to receive a phone call Saturday morning. They can also call (866) 295-7282 to register or watch a Facebook Live simulcast on the @aarphawaii Facebook page. You do not have to be an AARP member to participate.
