Live @ the MACC to Stream Solo Concert Featuring Pianist Jonathan Korth, Jan. 30
Live @ the MACC presents pianist Jonathan Korth for a free live streaming solo concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30. Korth will be performing works from J.S. Bach, George Gershwin, Claude Debussy, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Annie Gosfeld.
Korth has a multifaceted career as a performer and professor, working with young musicians at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa since 2008. In more normal times, he performs across Asia, the United States and Europe, with recent concerts in Bangkok, Beijing, Chicago, Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo.
Locally, he has been presented by the Honolulu Chamber Music Series, Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Hawaiʻi Concert Society, Chamber Music Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra and faculty concerts at UH Mānoa. Korth’s enthusiasm for chamber music has led to recent collaborations with violinists Martin Beaver and Robert McDuffie, cellists Zuill Bailey and Sung-Won Yang, as well as many members of the HSO.
The Live @ the MACC series is made possible by the support of the County of Maui and the Office of Economic Development. The series is designed to bring much needed opportunities for many of Hawai‘i’s performing artists and art forms in a combination of live/virtual or safe/live-in-person events that meet or exceed current CDC guidelines.
