Photos have been rolling in showing a light blanket of snow over the summit of Haleakalā on Maui. The summit district of Haleakalā National Park was closed at 4 p.m. today due to the wintry weather conditions and sunrise reservations have been canceled for tomorrow. The public is urged to not try to travel to the park. The entrance gate is closed and they will not be able to see ice or snow in the park as the road is closed. Park Rangers advise that the road conditions may worsen through evening.
