Maui Bus. PC: Wendy Osher.

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, the Maui Bus will implement changes to existing bus routes, according to a County of Maui Department of Transportation announcement.

Route changes include:

  • Kahului Loop #5 and Kahului Reverse Loop #6. A bus stop will be added near the new Kahului Safeway on Pūlehu Place/Ho‘okele Street. Minor time changes will be made for most of the existing bus stops on both routes.
  • Upcountry Islander #40 and Haʻikū Islander #35. Minor time changes will be made to affect most of the existing bus stops on both routes.

The Kīhei Villager #15 and Kāʻanapali Islander #20 continue to be suspended until further notice.

Maui Bus fares are $2 per boarding or $4 for a daily pass. Monthly passes are also available.

The revised schedule of the specific routes will be posted on the County website at www.mauicounty.gov/bus.

Riders are able to track their bus in real-time and get arrival predictions using the Maui Bus app, available on iOS and Android or at mauibus.org.

For more information, contact the Maui County Department of Transportation at 270-7511 or email public.transit@mauicounty.gov.
