COVID-19 Cluster at Maui Jail Now Totals 12 Inmates

The number of COVID-19 positive cases at the Maui Community Correctional Center now stands at 12 after four more inmates tested positive as part of a mass testing effort being conducted by the state.
To date, 349 inmates have been tested at the Maui facility. A total of 23 individuals are in medical isolation and another 83 are in quarantine awaiting test results.
The state Department of Public Safety reports that no MCCC staff have reported having COVID-19.
The MCCC cluster was first reported last week.
