The County of Maui, Department of Public Works, Highways Division, will work on a pavement preservation project in the Maui Meadows subdivision next week.

The slurry seal treatment work will result in a full roadway closure on Kumulani Drive from Lanihou Place to Launa Drive on Feb. 16 and 18, 2021, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The department notes that excessively wet weather conditions may impact the schedule.

Affected residents are advised that there will be NO driveway access within the work zone during the work hours. They are also asked to shut off all road side irrigation systems and reschedule any home appointments or maintenance that may need any direct vehicle access to homes.

On the work days, affected residents are asked to park outside of the designated work zone and be attentive to all traffic control personnel and warning signs.

All vehicles on the roadway will be towed at the owners’ expense on days of work by 6:30 a.m. on Feb 16 and 18.
