Four out-of-state visitors were arrested on Maui for alleged violation of rules and orders related to travel quarantine.
The arrests included:
- Angelo Catalano, 29, of Goleta, California,
- Ariel Catalano, 27, of Oakley, California,
- Vanessa Hamilton, 21, of Vacaville, California, and
- Melanie Miles, 26, of Boulder, Colorado.
Police say all four arrived on Maui on an Oʻahu flight without a negative pre-travel COVID-19 test and did not have approved lodging in which to complete the mandatory 10-day travel quarantine.
All four were transported to the Wailuku Police Station without incident.
On Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, all were released from police custody and voluntarily agreed to fly back to Oʻahu.
