Maui Crime June 20-26, 2021: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to two burglaries, nine vehicle thefts and 12 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from June 20-26, 2021.

The percentage of burglary cases decreased 80% from the week before when 10 incidents were reported. Vehicle thefts decreased 10% from the week before when 10 incidents were reported. Vehicle break-ins increased 71% from the week before when seven incidents were reported.

2 Burglaries

Wailuku:

• Wednesday, June 23, 7:30 p.m.: 260 Hoʻokahi St., Wailuku at Surf Rents Trucks. Non-residential, unlawful entry.
• Thursday, June 24, 2:19 p.m.: 800 block of Alua St., Wailuku. Non-residential, forced entry.

9 Vehicle Thefts

Haʻikū:

• Thursday, June 24, 10:35 a.m.: 10600 Hāna Highway, Haʻikū at Garden of Eden. Mitsubishi, black.
• Friday, June 25, 3:05 p.m.: 700 block of Kūlike Road, Haʻikū. Toyota, silver.

Kahului:

• Tuesday, June 22, 2:57 a.m.: Kahului Airport, Kahului. Ford, red.
• Friday, June 25, 4:09 p.m.: 90 Kāne St., Kahului at Foodland Kahului. Chevrolet, green.

Kīhei:
