Maui Man Pulled Unresponsive from Waters at Kama‘ole II

A Maui man was pulled unresponsive from waters in South Maui on Friday afternoon.

Maui police have since identified the man as 28-year-old Christopher Anderson of Haʻikū.

The incident was reported at around 4:33 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 at Kamaʻole Beach Park II.

According to police reports, life-saving measures were performed by first responder personnel; however, those measures proved unsuccessful.

A preliminary investigation reveals no signs of foul play, and the case is currently classified as a miscellaneous fatal accident.

An autopsy has been scheduled and the investigation is ongoing.
