LIST: Maui Lane Closures Through Oct. 8

The state Department of Transportation will be conducting road work this week that will result in lane closures at various locations.

Below is a list of road closures slated for this week:

NOTE: Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

— Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) —

  • Wailuku to Waikapū: Shoulder closure and lane shift on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) in the southbound direction between mile markers 0.5 and 2, Keanu Street and Pilikana Street on Monday, Oct. 4 through Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming.
  • Māʻalaea: Shoulder closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) possible in either direction between mile markers 5 and 15, Kūihelani Highway and Olowalu Village Road, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for shoulder work.
  • Lahaina: Single, left lane closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) possible in either direction between mile markers 19.8 and 21, Aholo Road and Lahainaluna Road, on Tuesday, Oct. 5 through Thursday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.
  • Kāʻanapali: Single lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) possible in either direction between Kaanapali Parkway and Kualapa Loop on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for guardrail repairs.

— South High Street (Route 30) —

  • Wailuku (night work): Right lane closure on South High Street (Route 30) in the northbound direction between mile markers 0.0 and 0.6, Main Street and Keanu Street, on Wednesday, Oct. 6 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming work.

— Kaʻahumanu Avenue (Route 32) —

  • Wailuku (weekend work): Left lane closure on Kaʻahumanu Avenue (Route 32) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.8 and 1, near Maui Lani Parkway, on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for traffic signal work.

— Main Street (Route 32) —

  • Wailuku: Shoulder closure on Main Street (Route 32) possible in either direction between Church Street and Market Street, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for electrical, concrete and paving work.

— Hāna Highway (Routes 36/360) —

  • Haʻikū: Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) possible in either direction between mile markers 12.2 and 13.3, Waikina Loop and E Kuiaha Road, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for guardrail maintenance.
  • Haʻikū: Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) possible in either direction between mile markers 13 and 16.2, Valley Isle Memorial Park and Kaupakalua Road, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail maintenance.
  • Haʻikū: Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) possible in either direction near mile marker 13.9, Hohani Place, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for guardrail maintenance.
  • Haʻikū to Hāna: Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 34.9, Kaupakalua Road and Hana Beach Park, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail maintenance.
  • Haʻikū (24-hour weekly work) Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in the westbound direction between mile markers 2.1 and 3.2, Lupi Road and E Waipiʻo Road, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, 24-hours a day, for emergency drainage improvements.
  • Keʻanae (24-hour work): Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 11.9 and 13, near Kaumahina State Wayside Park and Honomanū Stream, 24-hours a day, until further notice, for rockfall mitigation work.
  • Wailua: Shoulder closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in the westbound direction between mile markers 18 and 18.3, near Waiokamilo Stream and Wailua Road, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for irrigation system improvements.

— Haleakalā/Kula Highway (Route 37) —

  • Puʻunēnē: Shoulder closure on Kula Highway (Route 37) in the westbound direction between mile markers 3.2 and 4.8, Keahua Road and Hāliʻimaile Road, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for guardrail repair work.
  • Makawao: Shoulder closure on Kula Highway (Route 37) in the westbound direction between mile markers 8.1 and 10, ʻAʻapueo Parkway and Ōmaʻopio Road, on Monday, Oct. 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for paving work.

— Kahekili Highway (Route 340) —

  • Waiheʻe: Single lane closure on Kahekili Highway (Route 340) possible in either direction near mile marker 2.5, vicinity of River Road, on Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for water line installation.
