Maui Police to Participate in Active Shooter Exercise, Oct. 8 in Wailuku
The Maui Police Department, in conjunction with the Department of Education, will conduct an active shooter exercise on the Baldwin High School campus between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021.
Only Department of Education staff will be on campus during the exercise.
Residents should expect to see an influx of emergency response vehicles and officers on the campus. As part of the exercise, police advise that loud noises may occur.
As a safety precaution, the public is asked to avoid the specific exercise site unless they are an authorized participant.
“If this were an actual event, specific detailed information on what is happening, where it is happening, and what you should do would be disseminated,” police said.
