Maui Crime Sept. 26 to Oct. 2, 2021: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to six burglaries, 14 vehicle thefts and 18 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2, 2021.

The percentage of burglary cases neither increased nor decreased from the week before when six incidents were also reported. Vehicle thefts neither increased nor decreased from the week before when 14 incidents were also reported. Vehicle break-ins increased 13% from the week before when 16 incidents were reported.

6 Burglaries

Hāliʻimaile:

• Thursday, Sept. 30, 10:01 a.m.: 847 Hāliʻimaile Road, Hāliʻimaile. Non-residential, forced entry.

Kahului:

• Monday, Sept. 27, 2:59 p.m.: 58 Hāna Highway, Kahului. Non-residential, unlawful entry.
• Monday, Sept. 27, 6:12 p.m.: 1-100 Hāna Highway, Kahului. Residential, forced entry.

Kaunakakai:

• Friday, Oct. 1, 5:39 p.m.: 1000 Kamehameha V Highway, Kaunakakai. Non-residential, forced entry.

Kīhei:

• Tuesday, Sept. 28, 11:41 a.m.: 200 block of Auhana Road, Kīhei. Residential, unlawful entry.
