Lucky Guest from Hawai’i Wins Million-Dollar Jackpot

A lucky guest from Hawai’i tested her luck at Boyd Gaming’s Main Street Station Casino Brewery Hotel on Tuesday, Nov. 16, and won a million-dollar jackpot on an IGT’s Wheel of Fortune_® slots — the first major jackpot to hit at Main Street since it reopened on Sept. 8.

The guest, who requested to remain anonymous, was playing Wheel of Fortune_® Double Diamond on Tuesday around 2 p.m. After playing on the machine for just seven minutes, she hit the jackpot of $1,025,602 on a two-dollar wager. The lucky guest was in town to catch Sunday’s football game between Las Vegas and Kansas City, and was staying at Boyd Gaming’s The Orleans Hotel and Casino. 

This win follows a series of large jackpots won at Boyd Gaming’s Downtown properties this year. On July 15, a Hawaiian visitor hit a nearly $650,000 progressive jackpot at Fremont Hotel and Casino. Another Fremont guest scored a progressive jackpot of more than $380,000 on IGT’s Wheel of Fortune_® slots on September 3. On October 10, a Las Vegas local hit a jackpot of nearly $110,000 at the California Hotel and Casino.
