The Realtors® Association of Maui (RAM) members recently received the 2024 Nate Ellis Award by Inman, for their community service and support within the industry. The award recognized RAM members for their commitment and contributions to the community in the aftermath of Maui’s devastating wildfires.

“The Realtors Association of Maui is honored to receive the Nate Ellis Award on behalf of our members,” said President Lynette Pendergast. “This recognition belongs to our entire industry and our dedicated members who have gone above and beyond to support our community during such challenging times. It is a testament to the resilience, compassion, and solidarity that define our real estate community on Maui.”

In response to the wildfires, RAM members not only mobilized swiftly to provide essential resources, support, and assistance to those affected but also displayed creativity and leadership in addressing the urgent needs of the community.

Members organized fundraising campaigns that have raised significant amounts, coordinated immediate and long-term housing solutions, and personally participated in rebuilding efforts, including clearing debris, delivering food and supplies, and restoring homes. Their actions have been a lifeline for many families and individuals who were severely impacted by the fires, showcasing the incredible spirit and dedication of RAM members, according to organization leaders.

“We are incredibly proud of the selfless dedication demonstrated by our members, who make up one percent of the island’s adult population,” said Pendergast. “This award is a reflection of their hard work and commitment to making a positive impact. It serves as an inspiration for us all to continue striving for excellence and supporting our community in every way possible.”

The award was presented at the Inman Connect Las Vegas event, celebrating the winners of the 2024 Innovator Awards and Golden I Awards. Since 1998, the Inman Innovator Awards have honored companies, individuals and new technology that increases productivity, efficiency and transparency for consumers and real estate professionals alike.
