Wednesday Disaster Recovery Community Update Meeting to be held in Lahaina Civic Center gym, Aug. 28

Residents are encouraged to attend the County of Maui’s Weekly Disaster Recovery Community Update Meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, in the Lahaina Civic Center gymnasium.

The meeting will include the status of debris clearing by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Building code compliance will be discussed. Hawaiʻi Community Foundation will provide an update on recovery efforts supported through the Maui Strong Fund, and representatives of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory will share information on its kickoff of the Lahaina Energy Project with partners Lahaina Strong, Shake Energy Collaborative, and Hā Sustainability.
