Unattended death in Kāʻanapali

An investigation is underway into an unattended death reported over the weekend near a golf course in Kāʻanapali along Sunday’s marathon route.  The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on April 27, 2025.

Despite first responders’ efforts to perform life saving measures, the
female died at the scene, according to police. 

Police say no foul play is suspected and the cause of death is pending an autopsy.
