Seabury Hall proudly honored two student-athletes during a special athletics assembly, recognizing their commitment to continuing their athletic and academic journeys at the collegiate level.

Micah Brighton and Bromo Dorn, both members of Seabury Hall’s class of 2025, were celebrated by classmates, faculty, coaches, friends, and family as they signed letters of intent to compete in NCAA athletics.

“Competing at the next level is not just about talent—it’s about the drive, character, and relentless work ethic that drive success,” said Yaya Meyer, Director of Athletics. “These two student-athletes embody those values and have earned the opportunity to represent Seabury Hall beyond high school.”

A three-time MIL Runner of the Year (2022–2024), Brighton helped lead Seabury to the Division II State Championship in 2023 and a runner-up finish in 2024. He has consistently placed among the top runners in the state and has represented Seabury Hall in elite competitions across the country. His high school track career culminates this weekend at the HHSAA State Championships on Hawaiʻi Island where he is qualified to compete in the 1500 meter and 3000 meter events.

Bromo Dorn will attend Rogers State University, where he will compete in Men’s Basketball. Dorn capped off his Seabury Hall career by leading the Spartans to their first-ever boys basketball state title in February. He was named the Division II State Tournament Player of the Tournament, a two-time First Team All-State selection, 2025 MaxPreps Hawaiʻi High School Player of the Year, and earned the prestigious 2024–25 Hawaiʻi Boys Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year award.

“These young men have left an incredible legacy at Seabury Hall,” Meyer added. “Their leadership, commitment, and teamwork embody our EPIC school values (empowerment, passion, integrity, and curiosity) and honor what it means to be a Spartan. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish at the next level—and beyond.”
