Ritz-Carlton Maui announces summer lineup for Kapalua Wine and Chef Series

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua will host a slate of acclaimed chefs this summer as part of its ongoing Kapalua Wine & Chef Series at its signature restaurant, Banyan Tree. The monthly events pair four-course dinners with curated wine selections and offer guests the opportunity to engage with visiting chefs and sommeliers.

The upcoming series includes:

  • May 10: Mawa McQueen | Justin Vineyards
    Chef Mawa McQueen, the MICHELIN-bibbed and James Beard-nominated culinary star behind Mawa’s Kitchen, Mawita and The Crepe Shack in Aspen and Snowmass Village, Colo., is teaming up with Justin Vineyards to present a spectacular four-course dining experience. Inspired by her African, French, and American roots, and celebrated for her balanced, healthy and locally sourced dishes, McQueen will dazzle guests with her exceptional culinary skills during this exclusive event.
  • June 14: Kelsey Barnard Clark | Lewis Cellars
    Chef Kelsey Barnard Clark, the first Southerner to win Bravo’s “Top Chef” in 2019 and a 2024 James Beard Award nominee, is teaming up with Lewis Cellars for a spectacular dinner experience inspired by her new book, “Southern Get-Togethers.” All guests will receive a signed copy of the book, which is dedicated to entertaining and hosting unforgettable gatherings.
  • July 19: Maneet Chauhan | Fraiche Wine Group
    Indulge in an unforgettable culinary experience with Chef Maneet Chauhan, celebrated Food Network star and two-time “Tournament of Champions” winner. During this intimate evening, Chauhan will craft a delectable four-course Indian fusion meal, perfectly paired with exquisite wines selected by Fraiche Wine Group’s esteemed sommelier and vintner, Michael Kennedy.
  • Aug. 9: Lee Anne Wong | Orin Swift
    A standout from the inaugural season of “Top Chef” and James Beard Award nominee, Chef Lee Anne Wong has made a name for herself with her unique fusion of Asian-inspired flavors and modern techniques. A passionate advocate for sustainability and local sourcing, Wong resides on Maui and is chef-partner at Koko Head Café in Honolulu, Osaka and Tokyo. She teams up with Orin Swift, renowned for their bold and expressive wines, for this special dinner. 

Each dinner is priced at $225 per person, plus tax. Guests must be 21 or older. Special kamaʻāina room rates are available for local residents to enjoy a ‘staycation’ by calling The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua at 808-669-6200.
