Tournament officials announced today that The Sentry is contributing a tournament record $747,704 to local nonprofits, continuing to drive impact on Maui as a result of its 2025 event.

The announcement was made during a reception at the Boys & Girls Club of Maui – Lahaina, where tournament officials, nonprofit representatives and volunteers were joined by Sentry Insurance Chief Marketing and Brand Officer and Chief Golf Partnership Officer, Stephanie Smith.

Since relocation to Maui in 1999, The Sentry has raised more than $9.7 million for local nonprofits. With continued support of Sentry Insurance, the event has contributed to six community organizations: Scouting America-Aloha Council, Hale Makua Health Services, J. Walter Cameron Center, Ka Lima O Maui, Lahainaluna High School Foundation and Lahaina Junior Golf.

“We’re extremely proud to announce over $747,000 in community impact funds this year. This achievement is made possible through the continued support of our partners, fans and the Maui community. Their support allows us to invest in initiatives across West Maui as Lahaina continues down its path of rebuilding,” said Max Novena, Executive Director of The Sentry.

Adding to the impact across West Maui, The Sentry also supported the Boys & Girls Club Maui – Lahaina, which works to inspire and enable young people to reach their potential to become productive citizens. The Club acts as a second home for Maui’s keiki by providing a safe and positive environment during after-school hours where youth can be themselves and participate in high quality programs.

“Since becoming title sponsor, we committed to supporting the Maui community and responding where help is needed most,” said Pete McPartland, Sentry Insurance Chairman and CEO. “Our connection to Maui is personal, and over the years, that’s led to meaningful relationships with local nonprofits and community organizations. They’ve helped us understand where support is needed—and how we can make a lasting impact.”

Serving as the event’s title sponsor since 2018, Sentry Insurance also demonstrates its commitment to the community through its support of the “Aloha Friday” tournament tradition.

During Aloha Friday, PGA Tour players help raise funds and awareness for on-island charities, contributed by Sentry Insurance Foundation, by wearing Aloha print hats, shirts, pants or shoes. Additional local nonprofits that benefitted from the tournament include Aloha Puʻu Kukui Watershed, Hawaiʻi State Junior Golf Association/First Tee of Hawaiʻi, Hua Momona Farms, Kapalua Maui Charities, Maui Junior Golf, University of Hawaiʻi-Maui College, Maui United Way and Maui Strikers Soccer Club, among others.

The Sentry supports local initiatives, and the success of those efforts come with support from fans, partners and the community. By attending the tournament, fans help fuel these programs.
