Beloved comedian plays for Moloka‘i-based nonprofit on popular game show

Actress and comedian Chelsea Peretti has chosen ‘Āina Momona as her charity of choice on an upcoming episode of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” set to air Tuesday, May 28, 2025.

‘Āina Momona is a Native Hawaiian-led organization dedicated to environmental justice, cultural restoration and community resilience. Founded by Walter Ritte and based out of Keawanui Fishpond and Cultural Learning Center on the east end of Moloka‘i, the nonprofit works across the islands to protect natural resources, empower Native Hawaiian communities and advance culturally grounded sustainability practices.

All winnings will directly support ‘Āina Momona’s community-based programs and initiatives.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Chelsea for using her platform to support our work and the broader mission of building a more self-sustaining Hawaiʻi,” said Trisha Kehaulani Watson, vice president of ‘Āina Momona. “We’re such big fans of hers, and this support helps elevate our work towards uplifting the community. Seeing our mission shared on a national stage means the world to us.”
