Update: (5:58 p.m., June 10, 2025)

The commercial structure fire in Waiheu was declared extinguished at 5:42 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

The Maui Fire Department, the Maui Police Department, and the Maui Emergency Management Agency thanked the public for their cooperation and understanding.

There is a commercial structure fire in the area of Akakuʻu Street and Kahekili Highway in Waiehu. First Responders are on scene. Smoke may impact individuals in the area. No evacuation orders in place, but the public is advised to evacuate if they need extra time. Follow information from public safety officials. The Maui Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) continues to monitor the situation and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
