All UH campuses statewide closed due to severe weather

All University of Hawaiʻi campuses statewide will be closed on Friday, March 13, due to severe weather expected to impact the state, including heavy rain, flash flooding, severe thunderstorms and high winds.
The closure includes all scheduled classes and events, including the OUTRIGGER Invitational men’s volleyball tournament and a Rainbow Wahine softball game at UH Mānoa. Check the HawaiiAthletics.com website for more details.
Gov. Josh Green announced Thursday the statewide suspension of non-essential state services for Friday, March 13, following an emergency proclamation issued March 9. The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education also announced the closure of public schools statewide.
Saturday Outdoor Events — Canceled
As a precaution, all outdoor events scheduled at UH facilities for Saturday, March 14 are also canceled. This includes the Kapiʻolani Community College Farmers Market, the Maui College Swap Meet and the UH Mānoa Rainbow Wahine softball game.
University officials will assess conditions on Friday and determine whether additional closures for Saturday are necessary, including Saturday classes and the OUTRIGGER Invitational men’s volleyball tournament.
