Hana Hou Hospitality’s Round-Up Program is supporting Maui nonprofits, giving guests the opportunity to round their check up to the nearest dollar. Program leaders say contributions support local nonprofit organizations working to strengthen Maui’s communities, environment, culture and future.
The program is available at participating Hana Hou Hospitality restaurants, including Māla Ocean Tavern, Coco Deck Lahaina, Pizza Paradiso, and Pineapple Robot. Each quarter, Hana Hou Hospitality selects a local nonprofit organization to receive the contributions, allowing guests to support meaningful causes simply by adding a small amount to their restaurant bill.

Throughout 2026, the Round-Up Program is supporting organizations that are making a lasting impact across Maui. Beneficiaries include:

For the third quarter of 2026, now through Sept. 30, guests can round up their checks to support Kahākūkahi Ocean Academy (K.O.A.). One hundred percent of the Round-Up contributions will support K.O.A.’s mission of empowering Maui’s youth through ocean education, environmental stewardship, and cultural connection.
The Round-Up Program was created as a simple way for guests to give back while enjoying a meal. “While a few cents or dollars may seem small, those contributions add up and provide meaningful support to organizations doing important work throughout Maui,” according to the announcement.
As a locally rooted hospitality group, Hana Hou Hospitality is proud to give guests an opportunity to participate in supporting the community that has supported its restaurants for years. Each meal becomes an opportunity to make an impact beyond the restaurant and help preserve what makes Maui such a special place to call home.
Guests can participate by simply choosing to round up their check when dining at any participating Hana Hou Hospitality restaurant. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps support local organizations and the people, places and programs they serve.
