Hale Makua Health Services invites the public to attend a meeting regarding its proposed workforce housing project at Maui Lani. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026 at Maui Economic Opportunity’s Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Family Center (located at 99 Mahalani Street, Wailuku).

The meeting will include an overview of the proposed Hale Makua Workforce Housing project and an opportunity for community members to ask questions and provide oral or written input. The project is intended to expand housing opportunities for Maui residents, including health care professionals, educators and residents affected by the 2023 Maui wildfires. Public comments received during the meeting will be documented.

The written public comment period begins upon publication of this notice and will remain open through 4:30 p.m. HST on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.
