Five people displaced by home fire in Pukalani, Maui

Two people suffered minor burn injuries and five people were displaced as a result of a home fire in Pukalani, Friday morning, Sept. 4, 2026. Damage estimates are still ongoing.

The structure fire was reported at 11:45 a.m. at a home in the 100 block of Ikea Place.

Firefighters arrived to find the two-story single-family 3,300 square foot home well involved with fire. Firefighters deployed hose lines to attack the fire and protect neighboring structures.

The injured individuals were treated at the scene by Emergency Medical Services personnel. The displaced residents are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. It was brought under control at 12:30 p.m.

Responding units included Engine 5, Engine 13, Tanker 13, Engine 10, Rescue 10, Hazmat 10, a battalion chief, and a fire investigator.
