Hawaii State FCU awards $92,500 in scholarships to 20 students

Twenty students have received scholarships to pursue higher education from the Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, according to an announcement. Each recipient received a scholarship of up to $5,000 to support tuition costs at accredited colleges and universities in Hawaiʻi and on the Mainland.
“This year marks 30 years since Hawaii State FCU established our scholarship program, and we’re incredibly proud of the many students we’ve been able to support along the way,” said Ashley Noji, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Hawaii State FCU. “Higher education is an important investment in the future, and we know the cost can be a significant financial commitment for students and their families. We’re proud to support this year’s recipients as they continue their higher education goals.”
Scholarship recipients were selected based on financial need, academic achievement and involvement in school and community activities. This year’s recipients include undergraduate and graduate students attending colleges and universities in Hawaiʻi and on the Mainland.
