USPS hosting Passport Fair at Kahului Post Office, Sept. 26, 2026

Are international travel plans on your horizon? Be sure you have a valid passport ready when you make your travel arrangements.

Kahului Post Office is adding extra appointment times to help with new passport or passport card applications, including application acceptance, on-site passport photos, and guidance from certified USPS passport clerks. Schedule an appointment at https://usps.com/passport.

Customers are encouraged to arrive early for their appointment. A cut-off time may be necessary if wait-times exceed event hours. Passport photos are also available at this event at a cost of $15.

The fair is being held at:

• Kahului Post Office, 138 S Puʻunēnē Ave., Kahului, HI 96732
• Date: Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026
• 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. / Lunch 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.

To help speed service, applicants should complete Form DS‑11 (unsigned) in advance and bring proof of US citizenship and photo ID, photocopies of each document, and separate payments for the Department of State and the US Postal Service. Checks, debit card and cash are accepted for payment of fees.

Application forms and information on the costs and how to apply for a passport book and/or passport card can be found at usps.com/passport or travel.state.gov/passport. Customers can also obtain passport information by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at 877-487-2778.

A photocopy of the identification – front and back – must be submitted with your passport application. The post office will be offering photocopy service for an added fee of $1.00 per copy

Proof of citizenship includes any one of the following:

• Certified birth certificate issued by the city, county, or state.
• Naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship.
• An expired passport.

Children Under 16 (state.gov) Both parents/guardians must authorize the issuance of a child’s passport. The best way to give consent is for both parents/guardians to go with the child when applying.
