Maui Family Support Services to Host Stand for Children and Home Visiting Celebration

Maui Family Support Services, Inc., in partnership with community organizations, invites Maui families and community members to attend the Stand for Children and Home Visiting Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center, in the former Forever 21 space, Unit 1031.

The celebration brings together families, early childhood professionals, home visiting programs, and community partners to recognize the importance of nurturing relationships and supporting children during their earliest years.

Through interactive activities, family engagement, and opportunities to connect with local service providers, the event will highlight the valuable role that parents, caregivers, and community organizations play in helping children grow, learn, and thrive.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment,” said Edel Baguio-Larena, Chief Executive Officer of Maui Family Support Services. “This celebration is an opportunity to bring our community together, honor the important work of families and home visitors, and strengthen the connections that help our keiki and ʻohana thrive.”

MFSS serves families across Maui County, including Maui, Lānaʻi, and Molokaʻi, through programs that promote healthy family functioning and build upon the strengths of families. Its services include early childhood education, home visiting, family support, and community-based partnerships.

The Stand for Children and Home Visiting Celebration will provide an opportunity for families to learn more about available resources, engage with participating organizations, and celebrate the collective commitment to supporting children and families.

Community members are encouraged to attend and join in celebrating the people and partnerships that help build strong, healthy, and thriving families.
