Fall programs and events at Maui Ocean Center
The Maui Ocean Center has compiled a list of fall programs this season, including new offerings, family gatherings, seasonal events, and opportunities to support the community and Hawaiʻi’s marine life.
Kamaʻāina Appreciation Month
Through Sept. 30, Hawaiʻi residents receive 20% off regularly priced food at Seascape at Maui Ocean Center, Monday through Friday. Plus, Seascape at Maui Ocean Center is now serving breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon.
Save the Date: Fins & Frights
Celebrate Halloween beneath the waves at Maui Ocean Center, Saturday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. for a family-friendly evening featuring trick-or-treating, a marine-themed costume contest, music, Halloween cartoons in the Sphere, creative activities, and educational stations throughout the park. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for keiki ages 4-12. MOC members receive free admission.
Help Support Maui Food Bank
Maui Ocean Center is participating in Maui Food Bank’s Battle of the Businesses “Protein Power Challenge” through Sept. 25. This friendly competition between businesses collects food and monetary donations for families in need across Maui County.
The goal this year is to collect 6,000 pounds of food or $6,000. The most needed items are: tuna and salmon, chicken, Spam, Vienna sausage and chili. Drop off food items in the collection bin at Maui Ocean Center’s Front Gate or make a monetary donation online. Every dollar and every pound helps put food on the table for a Maui family.
Upcoming Programs for Keiki
- Sea Tots: Designed for children ages 3-5 and their accompanying adult, each one hour class combines animal encounters, creative activities, and guided exploration in a fun and supportive environment.

Support the Marine Institute at Maui Ocean Center
MOCMI is hosting an online auction through Sept. 30, with one-of-a-kind experiences, luxury accommodations, gift certificates from local businesses, and more up for bid. 100% of the proceeds will support honu rehabilitation, coral reef restoration and Hawaiian monk seal response.
