The Lahaina Restoration Foundation invites the community to enjoy an evening of live Hawaiian music at the next Hawaiian Music Series concert on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6–7:30 p.m. The free concert will take place on the lawn of Waiola Church in Lahaina and will feature father-and-son duo Bodi and Ikaika Mendez.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, mats, or low-back beach chairs to enjoy the performance on the lawn. Free parking is available at Waiola Church, with additional parking generously provided by Lahaina Hongwanji Mission next to the church parking lot.

Hailing from the uplands of Kanaio and ʻUlupalakua, Bodi and Ikaika Mendez grew up in the country, surrounded by music, culture, and moʻolelo. Their sound blends traditional Hawaiian music with local influences, sharing the stories and musical heritage of the places they call home.

Now in its 18th year, the Hawaiian Music Series is a cherished tradition that offers a welcoming space for the community to come together and celebrate the talented artists who carry Hawaiʻi’s musical traditions forward. The 2026 series is made possible through the support of the Maui County Office of Economic Development and parking lot fee revenues, with Waiola Church generously hosting the concerts throughout the year.
