Maui road closures due to flooding and severe weather impacts

(11:35 a.m., Oct. 29, 2026) Kahekili Highway is closed in both directions from Waiehu Beach Road to Makaʻala Drive in Waiehu due to heavy flooding.
Closures as of 11 a.m. October. 29, 2026 include:
- Keanini Drive and Uakea Road in Hāna town
- Hāna Highway Mile Marker 37 to 39; 15; and 16
Maui Emergency Management Agency officials discouraged nonessential travel into East Maui due to weather impacts. For updated road closures, visit www.mauicounty.gov/genasys and search areas.
