Post Offices on Maui closed Nov. 11 for Veterans Day; self-service options remain

All Post Office locations, including those on Maui, will be closed Wednesday for Veterans Day, the US Postal Service announced.
Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume Nov. 12, according to the agency.
While retail counters are closed, Maui residents can still handle some postal business online, USPS said. At usps.com, customers can order stamps and free USPS boxes. They can also place a Hold Mail request, file a Change of Address, rent or renew a PO Box, and print prepaid shipping labels through Click-N-Ship.
USPS also said self-service kiosks are available in select Post Office lobbies nationwide. The kiosks allow customers to print postage for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express and international shipping, buy stamps, weigh and mail packages, and get package tracking information. Many of the kiosks operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the agency said.
As USPS modernizes its retail locations, it said more locations may add other self-service options. Those include Rapid Dropoff Stations for customers who have already printed labels online, the option to print a shipping label from a merchant-provided QR code, and USPS Smart Lockers for dropping off and picking up packages.
Customers can find more information about USPS services at usps.com.
