A vehicle struck a utility pole on Baldwin Avenue in Pāʻia at around 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, knocking out electricity to hundreds of customers.

Maui Electric Company spokesperson Kau’i Awai Dickson said an estimated 450 customers along Baldwin Avenue and parts of Pāʻia were without power for several hours late Friday night into Saturday morning.

According to Dickson, power was restored to all affected customers by 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11.
