UPDATE: Police Issue Crime Bulletin on Missing Maui Woman

Maui police released additional details today in the disappearance of a Maui woman who has been missing since Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014.
According to an updated Missing Person Crime Information Bulletin issued by Maui police, Moreira “Mo” Monsalve was reported missing by her daughter Alexis Felicilda.
Police say Monsalve was last seen at around 10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at her ex-boyfriend’s residence in Wailuku.
The woman’s ex-boyfriend, Bernard Brown left a comment on our Maui Now Facebook page in which he describes Monsalve as his girlfriend.
According to his comments, Brown states that he went to the police station upon hearing that Moreira didn’t go to work. He also mentions that he has been cautioned about defending himself against allegations.
Monsalve’s daughter states on her own Facebook page that she was dropped off by her mother at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday at the Kahului Airport. She has issued pleas via social media seeking help in locating her mother.
In earlier reports, police said Monsalve also failed to pick up her son after dropping him off at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College campus in Kahului.
Through investigation, the woman’s vehicle was later recovered by detectives on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Monsalve is described as 5’7″ tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
