KISS Rockers Celebrate Opening of Maui’s Willow Stream Spa

On the same weekend that KISS rockers Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley celebrated the blessing of their Rock & Brews restaurant in Pāʻia, the pair were also honored guests at the grand opening of the Willow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea.

The rock & roll-themed VIP spa event was held on Sunday, Jan. 26, and featured autograph signing, KISS trading cards, hot ‘rock’ neck massages, a KISS-themed manicure station, and rockin’ red lipstick bar, according to a hotel announcement.

Following the event, the Grammy-nominated artists, along with Rock & Brews owners and partners, dined at resort’s Kō restaurant where fans were treated to a live performance of “Hard Luck Woman,” the lead single from the 1976 album Rock and Roll Over.

“We’re thrilled that Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons could add some rock & roll flair to the opening of our new Willow Stream Spa,” said Charles Head, general manager of The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui in a company press release. “Over $50 million has been invested into the resort in the past three years, resulting in an unrivaled destination, ideal for our highest profile VIP guests.”

The new 9,000 square-foot Willow Stream Spa is comprised of eight manicure and pedicure stations, a make-up station, and 13 interior treatment suites.

The new spa accommodates 22 guests per hour and offers an array of “locally-inspired services” and “spa technology.”

Hotel representatives call the spa offerings, “ideal for meetings and incentive travelers, as well as vacationers.”
