Limited Seating for Benefit Show With Paula Fuga

This Saturday, March 15, Paula Fuga plays a sunset gathering benefiting the Maui Huliau Foundation.

Held at the Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery in Kula, this “A Celebration of Spring” event is limited to 250 people and priced for community access at $10 per person.

Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Paula Fuga is joined by fellow winners Benny Uyetake, and Kevin Brown.

Organizers note that “exquisite vocals, powerful lyrics, and gorgeous melodies have earned Paula Fuga widespread critical praise and an incredibly dedicated fan base. Paula is a cultural ambassador, playing music for her Hawaiian culture and spreading the thoughtful and evocative voice of the Hawaiian people across the world. She has been likened to a Hawaiian Lauryn Hill, and has been embraced by a range of other inspiring artists like Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Ziggy Marley, and Nick Hexum of 311.”

“I use my talent as an instrument to help bring about positive social change within the islands and beyond,” says Fuga. “Instilling the Hawaiian culture in the generations to come and, generally, being a beacon of the meditative and healing powers of the Hawaiian people.”

The event will be held 4:30-7:30 p.m. and food will be available for purchase from Three’s Food Truck.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Maui Huliau Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving youth ages 12-18. Founded in 2010, their mission is to promote environmental literacy and leadership among Maui’s youth. Their three youth programs include the Huliau Environmental Filmmaking Club, Hui Laulima, and Huliau Youth Leaders.

The event is being held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and free parking is available on site.
