Maui Crime Log: 8 Burglaries, 3 Vehicle Thefts, 3 Car Break-ins

Maui police say they responded to 8 burglaries, 3 vehicle thefts, and 3 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between March 2 and 8, 2014. The complete list of locations affected and times in which the incidents occurred are as follows:

8 Maui Burglaries Reported Mar. 2 to 8, 2014:

Kaunakakai: 

• Saturday, March 9, 2014, 2:38 p.m.:  Molokaʻi Shores, unlawful entry.

Kahului:

• Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 9:30 p.m.:  East Kaʻahumanu Avenue at HIC and Supercuts under renovation, unlawful entry.
• Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 9:30 p.m.:  East Kaʻahumanu Avenue at HIC and Supercuts under renovation, unlawful entry.
• Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 10 a.m.:  Holua Drive, attempted entry.

Makawao:

• Monday, March 3, 2014, 2 p.m.:  Makawao Avenue at Paragon Salon, unlawful entry.
• Monday, March 3, 2014, 10:27 a.m.:  Makani Road at Kalama Intermediate school, forced entry.

Waikapū:

• Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 7:30 a.m.:  Waikō Road, forced entry.

Wailuku:

• Monday, March 3, 2014, 8:41 a.m.:  Waiaka Lane, attempted entry.

3 Vehicle Thefts on Maui, Mar. 2 to 8, 2014:

Nāpili:

• Sunday, March 2, 2014, 7 a.m.: Blue 2008 CIP USA moped with no license plate, last 4 digits of the VIN 0045. Stolen from Lower Honoapiʻilani Highway at the Kahana Beach Resort.   

Wailuku:

• Saturday, March 8, 2014, 5:40 a.m.:  2004 Gray Honda four door sedan, license #MRJ008.  Stolen from Ka Hale a Ke Ole Homeless Resource Center on Waiale Road.
• Thursday, March 6, 2014, 4 p.m.:  2004 Ford F450 flatbed pickup, license #MDG390.  Stolen from Lane’s Carpet on East Uahi Way.

3 Vehicle Break-ins on Maui, Mar. 2 to 8, 2014:

Kahului:

• Thursday, March 6, 2014, 4:31 p.m.:  1997 Blue Honda Accord.  South Wākea Avenue at Hale Mahaolu ʻElua.

Pāʻia:

• Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 8:40 p.m.: 1996 Green Jeep Cherokee.  Baldwin Avenue in the Pāʻia public parking lot to the south of Mana Foods.
• Tuesday, March 4, 2014:  2001 Blue Toyota Echo.  Pāʻia municipal parking lot along the Hāna Highway.
