Repairs Underway on County Phone System at One Main Plaza
By Maui Now Staff
The County of Maui is experiencing intermittent technical issues with phones located in county offices at One Main Plaza in Wailuku, officials announced today.
“Vendor technicians are working to resolve the problem, which appears to be caused by several circuit cards in the network switch that are defective,” the announcement said.
The phone service outage is expected to be resolved by the replacement of the circuit cards.
Offices affected by the phone outage include the county’s Department of Environmental Management, Department of Housing and Human Concerns, Mayor’s Office of Economic Development, and the Department of Planning.
Officials say repairs are being expedited in an effort to restore service as quickly as possible.
Individuals who cannot get through to affected offices are advised to leave a message for the department they are trying to reach by dialing the mayor’s office at (808) 270-7855.
