Island Air Adds 6 Kahului Flights to Summer Schedule

Island Air has added six Kahului, Maui flights to its summer schedule, bringing to 22 the total number of flights it serves on the island.

The company also announced the addition of two Līhuʻe, Kauaʻi flights for a total of 14 flights daily this summer to the location.

Company reps say the expanded schedule was designed to meet the summer demand for more flights Thursday through Sundays.

“With fares as low as $65, we’re seeing an increase in customers” said Island Air CEO Paul Casey in a company press release.

“Island Air is bringing back value and convenience to customers wanting an affordable way to travel interisland,” he said.

Company reps say the extended summer schedule begins today and runs through Aug. 17, 2014. Below is a list of the flights in effect to an from Kahului Maui for the summer.

Island Air was purchased by Oracle founder Larry Ellison’s ʻOhana Airline Holdings company in February 2013, and employs an estimated 250 personnel. Prior to purchasing the company, Ellison also became the majority owner of the island of Lānaʻi.
