Island Air Introduces $68 Interisland One-Way Fares

For the next 60 days, Island Air is offering a special $68 fare for one-way travel between the neighbor islands.

The special fare is good on flights booked through the Island Air website for travel through Nov. 15, 2014.

The “One Simple Fare” special says the deal is good for “any day, any time, and any non-stop flight” during the promotion.

“It is important for our guests to know that we hear their needs and are listening,” said Island Air CEO Paul Casey in a company press release.

“The simple $68 fare is directly in response to what our guests have asked for and our ability to change the rules and respond quickly is part of  our commitment to providing a better flying experience,” he said.

Company executives say the fares come in time for multiple festivals and events including the statewide Festivals of Aloha in September, the XTERRA World Championship on Maui in October, and the 22nd Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival on Kauaʻi in November.

The company website notes that fares are subject to availability and can be changed without notice; and that taxes, fees and restrictions may apply.

Island Air was purchased by Oracle founder Larry Ellison’s ʻOhana Airline Holdings company in February 2013, and employs an estimated 250 personnel. Prior to purchasing the company, Ellison also became the majority owner of the island of Lānaʻi.
