Hawaiian Airlines Offers Reservation Change Ahead of Ana

Hawaiian Airlines announced the effective immediately, guests holding tickets for company flights scheduled between Oct. 16 and 19, 2014, will be allowed to change their reservation without being charged a fee.

The fee waiver is good for a single one-time change, and is being implemented ahead of Tropical Storm Ana’s approach in Hawaiʻi.

According to the company website, the reservation changes are only good for tickets issued on or before Oct. 15, 2014; and the change must be made prior to the departure time of the originally scheduled flight, and ticketed on or before Oct. 19, 2014.

In addition, for changes made to new flights that commence on or before Oct. 22, 2014, company officials say any resulting difference in fare will be waived provided that change is made to same compartment class and there is no change in origin and destination.

How to Change Your Reservation Via Phone:

Customers can change their reservation over the phone by calling the airline’s Reservations Department at 1 (800) 367-5320.

How to Change Your Reservation Online:

To change a reservation, passengers can visit Hawaiian Airlines online and select the “Change Flight” option under the “Manage Flight” tab.  NOTE: For individuals that change their reservation online, they will be required to pay the applicable change fee and fare difference, but may request a refund of the change fee and fare difference paid, provided that the change falls within the aforementioned guidelines. Upon approval, the airline will process a refund within seven days to the form of payment used.  Customers can submit a request for reimbursement via the airline’s Consumer Affairs Office.
