Police Seek Public Help in Finding Missing Maui Man

Maui police are seeking the public’s help in locating Michael Taylor Rachac, a 24-year-old man who was reported missing by a friend.

Police say Rachac was reported missing on Monday, Nov. 24, but was heard from via phone on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014.

According to Maui Police, the missing persons case was filed by Rachac’s friend after he failed to make contact, as he does every day.

Rachac is known to frequent the Haʻikū and Eddie Tam Park areas and is described as Caucasian, 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with hazel eyes and dirty blonde, curly hair that is 4-inches long.

Police say Rachac also has several tattoos including the lettering “MMIX” in middle of his chest, the Hawaiian Islands across his entire right rib cage and abdomen, and 3-inch stars on his left forearm.

Anyone with information on Rachac’s whereabouts is asked to call Maui Police at 808-244-6400 or Detective Loo at (808) 270-6516.
