Maui Crime Log Nov. 23-29: Burglaries, Thefts, Break-ins

Maui police responded to 22 burglaries, 15 vehicle thefts, and 19 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between Nov. 23 to 29, 2014.

Of the 15 vehicle thefts, four vehicles have since been recovered.

The incidents were spread across the island with three incidents each in Lahaina and Wailuku.  The number of vehicle thefts was up from the 10 incidents reported a week earlier.

Burglary incidents remained high with 22 burglaries reported, down from the 27 incidents reported the week before.  The greatest number of incidents occurred in Wailuku and Haʻikū where four incidents occurred at each location; followed by three incidents each in Kahului and Kīhei.

Vehicle break-ins remained at 19, unchanged from the amount reported the week before.  Seven of the incidents were in Kahului.
