Repairs to the Māhinahina Water Treatment Facility in West Maui are now complete, and water supply operations are fully restored, according to an announcement issued today from the Maui Department of Water Supply.

County officials say, as a result, normal water consumption can now resume in the Honokōwai and Lahaina areas.

A malfunction at a key pump at the Māhinahina facility was reported on Monday, resulting in low water pressure in some areas.  At the time, county officials urged residents of the area to limit water usage.

Department personnel apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their cooperation.
