The Maui Matsuri festival scheduled for Saturday, May 16, from 2 to 9 p.m. will feature Japanese and Okinawan cultural entertainment, food and craft booths, demonstrations and exhibits, cultural crafts and games for kids, manga and art contest, hanafuda contest, eating contests, Cosplay (costume) contest, video-gaming, obon dancing and more.

Organizers have announced that for the first time, payment for all-new kids games (excluding kodomo corner, which continues to be free) and food sales will be by scrip only.

Groups wishing to assist in pre-selling tickets for $10 (each) worth of scrip are asked to contact Lynn Araki-Regan at [email protected] by March 30 with the name of the participating group and the number of pre-sale tickets desired. Groups pre-selling the tickets will receive $1 for each ticket sold.
