The application process requires a completed application form, a letter of recommendation from a current or former teacher and a personal interview with the scholarship committee.

The application is available now through April 30, 2015 on the HAB website.

Last year, more than 20 students received awards ranging from $500 to $3,500 for study at schools in Hawaii and on the mainland. Nearly $600,000 has been awarded to students since the program’s launch in 1994.
