Got a Badge? Hard Rock Cafe Offers Founder’s Day Deal
By Maui Now Staff
Founded on June 14, 1971, in London, the Hard Rock Cafe franchise turns 44 this Sunday.
Founders Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton brought their “vision of glorious American hamburgers to Brits and American ex-pats alike.”
Now with over 192 locations, the restaurant celebrates its “birthday” every June 14.
Anticipate staff dressed in their best 1970s garb and hamburger eating contests.
Moreover, folks with a badge and in uniform–described as “such as firefighters, police officers and paramedics”–can enjoy a cheeseburger for pennies. Security guards, court baliffs, correction officers, and USDA inspectors will have to chance it.
Well, 71 pennies, but still.
The rest of you?
Crikey. You have but four days to get a job with a badge or, seemingly, ante up the usual menu prices.
