Maui Police Seek Information on Kona Man in Child Welfare Investigation

Maui police are seeking the public’s help with information on the whereabouts of a Kona man wanted for questioning in connection with a child welfare investigation.

Police say Shiane Marumoto lives in Kona; however, he was seen last week in the Central and South Maui areas.

According to Maui police, Marumoto may be in the company of other individuals who may have information related to the case.

He is described as 34-years-old, standing 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighing 169 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair that is possibly shaven bald.

Marumoto also has tattoos of Japanese Kanji writing along his left arm, left inner wrist, and upper back.
