UPDATE/FOUND: 85-Year-Old Kula Man Reported Missing

Takemoto has since been located and is in good health. The Maui Police Department thanked the public for their assistance.

Maui police are seeking the public’s help in locating a Kula man reported missing last night.

Police say Kazuo Takemoto, 85, was last seen at his home in Kula at around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.  He was reported missing several hours later at 6:15 p.m.

Takemoto is described as 5’4” tall, weighing 110 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.

Police say he was last seen wearing blue denim pants with a brown Aloha shirt, tan jacket (as seen in the accompanying photo) and was wearing slippers.
